I'm good

I have gray hairs, a big nose, a small chin, crooked teeth, cellulite on my weak thighs, uneven skin tone, and thick ankles... and it's OK. This is how God made me. I'm so thankful that God knew me even before I was formed in my mother's womb...

I take comfort in the fact that God has numbered every hair on my head...

I'm in awe that God has a plan for me... me, one in 6 billion... me.

When you feel alone, ugly, without purpose or hope, remember God sees you for who you are, who He created you to be, and loves you because you are His. We are His creation, not our own.  That should give us freedom to no longer be ashamed of how we look. We should stop depending on man-made standards to be our guide, and instead let the awesomeness of God's creation be our guide. We are as much a beautiful creation of God as the butterfly, photosynthesis and maple trees. The difference is we were made to have a personal relationship with God.  He is not a distant, cold God, but Father God. He does not care about our looks but about our heart.

Psalm 139:13-18

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you.
