I just want to give a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to every single person who reached out to me in one form or another after my last blog – whether it was via Facebook, Twitter, commenting on my blog, email, or text. You all humble me to no end! The blog was literally my homework to help myself heal from the pain of my loss, but in the end it became so much more! It became an opportunity for us to share our grief, to relate to, encourage, and learn from to one another, and in the end reminded all of us that we are in this together. We are NOT alone! We are NEVER alone!
Your love, encouragement, support has absolutely helped me in my healing process (my therapist said I finally seemed like myself for the first time since she’s been meeting with me). Your overwhelmingly kind response also allowed me to see how important it is to stay true to my voice in my writing, continue to make everything I express on this blog (and hopefully in future publications) personal, honest, and relational. I especially appreciate people who took off their own masks and told their stories publicly. I admire your courage to connect to others and myself while dealing with your own personal grief.
Every single one of you is beautiful and loved, and I’m so blessed to have connected with you! My healing has definitely begun. Thank you for being a part of that, I’m forever grateful.
In the near future, I hope to explore some more light-hearted fare. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I think I’ve done enough crying for now. I’m a Libra and I need balance. It’s time for some joy and laughter.
“Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, ‘The Lord has done great things for them.’” Psalm 126:2
What has filled your heart with joy and/or laughter lately?
