Anger

I'm feeling angry tonight...

Angry that 42% of women have experienced sexual discrimination in the workplace...

Angry that 5 years ago today 20 innocent babies were killed and our government has still done nothing to prevent another tragedy like Sandy Hook from happening again...

Angry that 600,000 people, many who identify as Christian, would rather vote for an alleged sexual predator than a democrat who prosecuted the KKK...

Angry that our government continues to reduce taxes on the rich but strips the lower 99% of things that make it easier to get ahead - like tax deductions on student loan interest and teacher supplies...

Angry that the administration is destroying the first amendment through repealing net neutrality...

Angry that 5 million children may lose their health insurance in the next few months if congress doesn't act...

Anger is powerful. It needs to be controlled in order to be positively productive.

It can lead to pain and violence, or it can lead to change and progress. We all have a choice.

I choose to be proactive instead of reactive.

I choose to use my anger to help instead of hurt.

First things first, a good night's sleep. Anger only gets worse if you simmer in it.

Tomorrow is a new day. Tomorrow brings hope.
